Three elements for a good night’s sleep

The so-called good night's sleep means that the conditions such as "falling asleep immediately", "sleeping until dawn", "being fully awake when waking up", and "full of energy during the day" are all met, which is good quality sleep.

So, as long as the sleep quality is good, can it be said to be "deep sleep"? This may not be the case! "Routine" that can promote good sleep quality is also an indispensable element.

Our daily sleep is determined by the "sleep desire" caused by accumulated fatigue, plus the "biological clock" formed by the human body's daily cycle. Our biological clock not only refers to the time to sleep and wake up, it also regulates the regular operation of sleep, body temperature and hormone secretion. If we stay up late today because of work, this sleep rhythm may be disrupted, so we still need to maintain this circadian rhythm as much as possible!

In addition to quality and regularity, the third indispensable condition for deep sleep is "quantity", which is sleep time. People who usually don't get enough sleep often use holidays to stay up late to catch up on sleep. However, this method cannot eliminate fatigue at all, because sleep is not a simple addition and subtraction. Long-term sleep deprivation will endanger our body, mind and brain (next week I will tell you about the troubles caused by not getting enough sleep). If you want to have a good night's eyesight, the most important thing is to get enough sleep, and take both quality and regularity into consideration, so that you can get closer to the goal of "a good night's sleep"!
